The goal of the Innovation and Urban Sustainability Laboratory at Tel Aviv University is to establish collaboration among students and researchers, as well as various field entities, in order to advance knowledge and research in the field of urban sustainability.
Led by Dr. Orly Ronen, the lab develops and facilitates public operations, research, and teaching for use by researchers, planners, decision makers, organizations, and communities involved in innovation and sustainability, networking, sharing, and empowerment programs. The laboratory works to develop municipal policies and strategies to promote sustainability and innovation (sustainable municipal management).
The Innovation and Urban Sustainability Lab focuses on three main areas: Municipal strategies and practical actions to prepare for and respond to climate change and improve the quality of urban life.
Innovative smart cities, resource management and environmental change at the city level assess the sustainable quality of life, personal initiative and living habits of the city and its surrounding areas in conjunction with research and teaching, in collaboration with researchers from various Israeli institutes
Term Seminars Students admitted to the seminar will be integrated into the laboratory for research and collaborative papers. The information Center, laboratory will be open to students two days a week for consultation, study and meetings to facilitate research and learning.
