The Institute of History is a research arm of the Institute for Advanced Study, University of London. Founded in 1921, the Institute of History is dedicated to training the next generation of historians and to conducting and promoting innovative historical research.

The Senate House Library (University of London) is one of the largest libraries in the United Kingdom. The library has a collection of more than 3 million books, including 120,000 books published before 1851, 5,295 academic journals, 1,000 original manuscripts, and 170,000 papers. The bibliographies mainly cover the fields of humanities, arts and social sciences, and are open to all members of the University of London.
